First Hospital Experiences

Let just start off with, no one actually wanna be in the hospital with all the cranky weird old man. You'll be surprised with lots of people you have never seen in your life in just the hospital yourself.

It all started with a slight fever like 4 days before i when to the hospital, 2nd day i when to see a family clinic nearby my house. Got some medication and got some rest, but it wasn't helping fever will still there so i when back the same clinic and get a 2nd medication. But it wasn't helping either, which comes the 3rd day of the fever that was 38.0++ degree it was considered high fever already and it was no joke considering 3rd day and it might be due to dengue. I felt cold AF so for the past 2 nights i been sleeping on my couch, as i felt really cold in my room air-con.

No chance is taken I when to Tan Tock Seng Hospital A&E and get it check out immediately.

Turn out I got some Viral Infection that was causing my fever unable to subside for days. My body immune system took a huge one on me this time, I have never felt like this before for days. Without questioning, TTSH immediately took a blood test for me and did a dripping with antibiotics to me. During the first dripping, my blood pressure was extremely low i was not dizzy i was still in the mood to even laugh it off when I saw my blood pressure was very low. Doctor suspect as I haven't eaten much for the past 3 days, it was normal for me to be in these state of condition. End up spending the whole afternoon in the A&E observation area dripping 5 bags of antibiotics until the fever subsidy, blood pressure back to normal state & my body was able to urine. Body was so dehydrated until i havent pee for the whole day.

As mention previous it was caused by Viral Infection, hence I got an Acute Tonsillitis aka Throat infection as well as a Viral Conjunctivitis aka Sore/Red Eyes. Reading some of this up, its cause by a virus that attack my body which normal antibiotics are unable to work. In a result, the hospital pumps my system with antibiotics until i am able to pee/flush out a little of my system.

On the side note, Architecture is taking a larger toll on me. It was not cool to stay overnight and then go climbing on the next day just because i have touch chalk and rocks for months. Should have when home and get some extra rest before going out for extreme sports like this. It was a lesson learnt and i guess that i got to learn my lesson the hard way.

Fever was a no joke case in my family as fever can cause death and serious medical complication. As long as the fever did not subside on the first day after taking Panadol or any form of self-medication, we will see the doctor and get it treated. But if it still didnt subsided again we will go back to the same doctor and get a stronger medication that the same doctor prescript.

I was discharged on the same day I got admitted to the hospital, there was no need for me to stay/overnight in the hospital as it was just a fever as long my fever subsided it should be an issue. Blood test shows im dengue free which was awesome news liver/kidney is healthy henceforth there was no need to stay in the hospital for sure. But after 4 bags of dripping, i manage to flush out lots of fluid, which was a good sign of recovery process. I was check by eye specialist for my sore eye turn out to be a Viral Conjunctivitis & gonna get it check again this Friday as i have an appointment for it.

Laziness aside, i still have to go back there and get myself check out, to make sure im at my fullest condition at the moment as i am leaving the country to Melbourne for a Rock Climbing trip. I need to be back to my optimise performances physically as well as internally.
