Remembering Some Wise Words

Back when i was in my secondary school, people told me that whatever you learned in school is useless. From that moment, i started not believing in the education system. Hence, i never study and ended up in the EM3, Normal Tech and ITE. After much persuasion from many teachers, family and friends, they manage to get through this thick skull of mine and i manage to get into Singapore Polytechnic and put the things i learned in my 3 years in SP to its fullest. Diploma meet it objective by equipping us with industrial ready requirements & it have achieve its goal.

Until today, i remember those words people once told me when im struggling with university life. "Whatever you learn in school is useless & doesn't apply outside in work". We certainly cant say everything is useless? But there are so many extra shit there is not require making you doubt what is the point in doing so for such stuff.

Exams do finish, whether right or not also doesnt matter cause all it matters is the stupid GPA only right ? Self learning holistic education at its finest.

Never been so down before in my life

Probably the worst time of my life, as i am currently struggling with university and also the shit they put me through as for this moment i could only say this much. As mention in previous post, there will be a time to come for more detailed explanation for everything and everything.

Honestly speaking i would rather they ask me to take another English module to improve my words of choice or maybe my writing skills for thesis. I don't see the need for mathematical module to be part of architecture life to any help or advantage on how students are able to do much nicer or beautiful architecture. In fact, the studio master or tutors here in NUS does not cause what sort of arithmetic or algorithm stuff u come out with for your design. My main point is that math has ZERO use here in architecture.

Which i dont got no idea why NUS is asking me to take. It is really no sense to be basing just a admission criteria to be using such rules and regulation and previous batch of students who have successfully graduated does not need to take this module. I double my argument for having ZERO usage of maths here in architecture, by looking at the whole syllabus of NUS architecture module description exams and outline of every single module.

Conclusion there is the no need for a mathematics module inside NUS and if they are basing on my N level results, i would rather take a English module then maths module. As it would be helping me or benefit me in writing a better standards of thesis or dissertation.
