Field Camp with 5SIR

First of all i just got to say im so glad im still alive...
WHY ?! You will asked... Training fucking tough ? Kinda punish or tekang like fuck ?

I will say both of the above i mention will be a no... but instead... the ground issue that we sleep or resting area is a hell outta a scary one.
Why did i say so... We actually sleeping under durian and jackfruit trees which are at their season which it drops alot... Oh yea and if u know durian drop during the night alot...
Oh fucking perfect... The only time we spent during the field camp at that area is during the night which we went back there to rest / sleep.

During the night, u will heard some of the durians just fell down to the ground and some of them really was quite near to my location me and my friends were sleeping at it was really freaking scary....

Nonetheless it was a 2D 2N at the field and on the 3rd day morning we shifted and when to the Urban Ops(UO) area to so some training which i was like OH YEA !! Finally out from the muddy ground that makes my pants and underwear wet during the night or resting when sitting there....

3rd night was great as we slept inside a old HDB apartment just that the whole ground is like freaking dirty will like sands and stuff but what can i say... I really cant complain compare it to muddy and wetting ur pants and shirt which make ur uniform soak wet, it stick to ur skin then u feel so cold during then night and ur shelter from the rain where out in the field u got nothing just that the trees filter the rain nicely enough that u got droplets of water just entering and dipping onto ur face.

Overall, i will say the shag-ness of the training is seriously almost killed me. Sleeping under Durian and Jackfruit trees... Not a cool thing... And surprisingly it aint that much of a tekang session like BMT field camp...

Gold for IPPT

Finally i got my gold for IPPT... I got no idea how did i do it or how i manage to clock the timing for my 2.4km run to get the IPPT gold timing. But i could only explain one thing.

The regimented sergeant major aka RSM in short is fit as hell !! Before the start of the run my Platoon sergeant said those who wanna get gold just follow his pacing throughout. And that is what i did throughout the run and just running beside or behind him in a controlled speed. And that is how i did it...
Reason saying why the RSM is fit as hell, he ran the 2.4km the twice and still clock the gold timing even at the age of 30+ maybe near 40 ? Just guessing his age but i guess his around there.

Before enlisted in NS i clock a time of 11.15 with is just a average silver timing during my NAPFA test at Singapore Polytechnic stadium NAPFA test. Then enlisted 1st IPPT run still was the same timing. After a few weeks of training in Tekong BMTC, i manage to cut a time of 10.30 then 10.18 or 10.15.
I guess there wasnt much of a motivation for me during back then at Tekong, as i didnt wanna go to command school and there wasnt any incentives given even so you get Gold in IPPT.

Speaking of incentives, what did i get after i get Gold in IPPT, earlier book out in this 5SIR unit, SGD$200 for getting gold in IPPT. Seriously what can u ask for, the whole afternoon u can spent with anyone of ur darling girl or families and friends.

Anyway training got toughest each time and harder, gonna try to survive my ass till whatever it takes to finish this 2 years of waste of time.
