National Service - Confinement for 3 Weeks
After so many years of fighting to get my ass from into Singapore Poly.... Which actually supposedly i should have done my NS 3 years ago if i fuck up my education in the ITE.... But i did well and entered SP and deferred for 3 years till today... Im serving the NS finally...
Not that im excited or would want to served the NS like those patriotic Sg-poreans who really wanna be a leader or a chiong-swan bing... But like seriously, architecture life in the office could be really tough sometimes i seriously would rather get lesser sleep and work in a archi office then doing all this in the army. Speaking of which, the PT (Physical Training) everything there was kinda tough to me... Not sure whether im 22yo this year but maybe some part of my body is like breaking down you can really feel that your body is really to get old slowly... Not being the oldest in the Platoon or Section or Coy, but most of the people inside are around the same age as me... And one thing i learned in the army, age doesnt give a shit in there... Everyone is the same and all they care about is teamwork and communication and of cause respect... And i though i will be one of the oldest dude in the coy....
Inside this 3 weeks, the Sergeants and Lieutenants keep saying we are the "ENHANCE/LEADERSHIP" batch... Because most of us have passed our NAPFA test and Diploma holders and we landed up in this batch... Most of the time we keep getting scolded because most of the people acting very "hack-care" attitude to the army or the Sergeants.... And they keep say "You call yourself the enhance/leadership batch?"... No wait seriously since when we call ourselves that...
Since day 1, we dont even know where we being posted or the flying fuck idea we are going to inside Tekong and they named us the enhance/leadership batch ?! And they scold us saying we call ourselves that, no wait seriously recap abit and think... DO WE HAVE A CHOICE ? DID WE NAMED OURSELVES THAT OR THEM ? OR I SIGN UP FOR THIS ?
None of the above... Moving on....
Its kinda cool also cause in Poly u really make lots of friends and ended up... Im the same coy & Platoon as my long time climbing friends since we joined climbing together and climb tgt and ended up having the same interest in cycling and highwall climbing... As well as a Poly classmate which is also in the same Platoon as me... And unfortunately... a irritating friend is in the same coy of my... but thankfully not the same platoon as us but same coy and another friend who i get to know in the poly when going for the USA SF/LA Stanford University trip... which he is in another platoon.... So far in the same coy there is like 4 people i know which is kinda a good thing for me....
Right now, the important thing is finding friend staying nearby u so that u can ask him out for dinner or supper or whatsoever in the future... Not that i wanna ask him out for company or like take cab back together to share the cab bill or whatsoever... But like seriously, another friend is a better thing to have...
I must say that 3 weeks confinement is really a tough one to endure inside there... You mind if fucking with you most of the time, getting home sick, miss you love ones and friends, tiring and shag training over and over again none stop or nv ending shit keep going on. This 3 weeks confinement really can break you some point of time i just wanna cry for no reason not saying that im a pussy but like really thats how much u miss the people out there just across the sea... Cutting off social network connection for a period of time due to the conservative of battery usage inside the camp... And of cause the thing that break you down the most is seeing one of ur section mate getting injure really bad and ended up in the hospital this make u really scare and bring down ur performances in the training and not doing ur best knowing that one of their training will fuck ur body up some day or anytime....
This is the few pointers i feel that will break you down...
Beside mentally breaking down... Lots of routines to do, wake up do ur bed make ur bed sheet wash our own clothing and rushing for the toilet to bath and being a speed food eater... having one a few minutes to queue for ur food and sit down and eat it in like maybe only 15 to 10 minutes and faster fall in to march off back to coy building and do more exercise... You sure do need to do every single thing here very fast... No time must be wasted...
Some might fine my writing here is really fuck up but trust me... Once u get the hang of it... It aint really bad... Maybe not for the punishment of cause... haha... There is still lots of fuck tup people out there still being a faggot something... Haha...
Now 3 weeks down 6 more weeks to go... Pretty fast and cant wait to finish already... Till next time...
