KL Climbing Trip & NUS Acceptance

Super psyched & excited trip with my 5 friends. Ah Le, Janet, JK, KY & Ernest. We when to Malaysia, Kuala Lumper for 5D4N of climbing.

Day 1
When i just reached KL after alighting the bus, i received a very good news over there as NUS called me and told me that i was accepted into NUS in B.Architecture. And asked if they mail it to me or whatever so i asked them to as i wasnt really bothered at that point of time when im trying to just enjoy my holiday.
When for lunch for Kenny Roger which is like half the price we can had in SG.
So the first day was a hassle, we when straight to the climbing gym aka Camp5 which is inside the shopping centre called 1Utama, we when there straight after be alighted the coach and did some easy/light climbing straight.

No time was wasted, after climbing for like 2 or 3 hours its time to go find our hotel as we got no idea where it is except for its name. We asked around & searched around for the direction of the hotel. After 1 or 2 hours of searching for the hotel we finally managed to find the hotel and booked in. After booking in, we when back straight to Camp5 for more climbing. As it was the 1st day we did some easy climbing for warmed up as we still got 3 more days of climbing. Ended the day with eating indian food & Ramly burgers downstairs the hotel.

Day 2

My first natural rock experiences nice awesome limestone & granite mixture so beautiful natural rocks i ever touched. Its like not being a virgin anymore... hahaha....
The place is called Batu Cave also part of Kuala Lumper approx 20min taxi ride down. When to the Nyamuk wall which is named as mosquito in malay due to the high amount of mosquito breeding at the area but it was worst said by my friend.
Did 3 easy climbs that i was able to climb it in ease, and 2 hard climbs on top rope which almost torn me apart. After that it was time to go we ended our meal nearby the area and took a long time to board a cab and return back to the hotel get a quick washed up and head down to 1Utama to have some epic food feast and ended up watching movie "Pacific Rim" it was better then i thought.

Day 3
When down to 1Utama Shopping centre and did more climbing at Camp5 try more different routes and harder gradings. Try to push myself to a different limit and ended up trying a 7A grade route & a epic 22m overhang 6B+ route manage to reach the top despite a few hanging at the wall.
Ended the day with Bowling and for the first time we ate Sakae Sushi which is like so damn cheap with like 120SGD in the total of 6pax eating...

Day 4
Project day.... Just trying to do some other different routes to get myself warmed up and i tried my project route for the whole day. Sadly i was close to finishing, maybe my time aint there yet as im a 6B to a 7A looks like a huge jump,,,, Sadly and when for dinner at Fish & Co. and ended the day with Pool and another movie "Lone Ranger" slept half way thru the movie cause im too fucking tired .

Day 5
Basically waiting for bus and travelling back to SG

Reached back home and open my letter box and got myself a NUS acceptances letter welcoming me back to SG tears dropping letter and family also got happy for me as a hell long road journey i been through...

And im glad i had this climbing trip with my friends, a huge weight of myself as i forgotten when was the last time i when overseas which this much fun with good companies.

Appeal Interview

When down to the NUS interview yesterday & it pretty much was fine. Aptitude test was ok for me.... Interview was always there toughest for me as I always can't get myself together, brain always get cog and can't think of the right stuff. Anyway here how it when.

They start by flipping my portfolio with my biography on out and was like wah your a EM3 student then a NT then ITE its been a journey for you argh ! Then the interview when on with explaining the things I did in polytechnic, till he ask me "why did you appeal for this ? Is it because your poly result not good ?"
I replied "No i dont think my poly results was the factor, I think I did very well for my poly results. Its just because I do not have a O level cert.... It fact I did better then some of my friends who already got in to nus already just tt they have a O level certificate they got a better chance !
He replied "oh ya this uni grading system is kinda unfair hmmm... Actually this grading system is out of my hands is the people who up there we manage the intakes of people coming in"

I just sit there and smirk my face ! Knowing I did good for my poly result with a screw up background when I don't want to study back then. Now I did better then a better qualification student & I can't get into NUS they also find it kinda a bullshit grading system !!

Anyway I'm going to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia next week for a long weekend climbing trip with my climbing friends ! So psyched for this trip, at least a climbing trip before getting enlist into army !
Will be back for all the images of us climbing next week ! Looking forward to it already ! Yeah !!! Till next week I'm back from KL !

Published from my Google Nexus 7 tablet !
