NUS Application
Applied for NUS & got rejected, and i got no idea why so i got rejected. Here are a couple of reason why i think i should be accepted 1st of all...
- Final Cumulative GPA 3.92 Diploma in Architecture
- Not only scoring well for my Main Diploma studies i got myself a Diploma Plus in Design Thinking
- SP Rock Climbing Club Committee - Assistant Secretary
- Bronze (3rd Place) in PA Climbing Carnival 2012 - Team Category
- Orgnasing Committee of RockMaster 2012
- Building Drafting (Architecture) NITEC GPA 4.0
And of cause, putting me a N level/ITE student together with all the O level students from all the top schools like CHIJ, St Margaret, Nayang Sec, St Patrick, St Gabriel.... This are some of Singapore top schools & im just a EM3, Normal Tech, ITE Student from a stupid poor studies background.
Putting me at the same like of education level with this students from top schools in SG at Polytechnic & i could score better / on par with most of the people from those background. Why am i a exception towards University, is like i was a dumbass back then i may not be a dumbass now today. I could not believe what hideous grading system we got in the SG.
Worst part of all i couldnt believe a 3.5 GPA people could enter easily & sometimes u would like to question their grading system for nut sake. Did they even look through our results or application properly ? Or they just throw all the ITE students one side because they do not have a O level or an proper education back then when they will young.
I am writing this because i am not sad or disappointed by my hard work i put in for the past 5 years. But i am disappointed in SG education system being such flaws. It seems to me as though for the past 5 years of hard work i put into, has just simply gone down the drain just like that in an instant.
Is not that i cant bear the pain of having a failure, i been through worst and i could say i can pick myself up and just walk away from every single thing that what happen of the reject of application to NUS, but i could not stand the fact that for the past 5 years of hard work i put into they just simply pick a lower grade Poly students over a higher grade. Im not saying that those who scored low GPA should not get a place but they should give more priorities to the people who score well 1st of cause.
Enough said. Im currently appealing for this application with lots of people on my side and people who are helping me or supporting me & finding that the grading system is ridiculous. I thanks you with all my heart & appreciation.
